Artist's Comments

Homework assignment for photography class in late 2004. I kept it for a while, wasn't thinking of submitting until my mother said that she wants a big print of it.

Hmm not a lot to say, really. Other than i was taking pictures of the sunset (how cliche) and then seagulls in the parking lot behind me started to fly. I got a couple of captures with them in the air but this one was the best.

I have seen many many many photos of sunsets and beaches, but this surpasses them all by far.
It is simply....breath taking.

Wow, what great darks in this. I love the composition as well, and how the horizon fades off into the darkness. I'm jealous, nice shot.

Awesome capture, nice contrast between the beach/water and the sky. The sun looks awesome and the seagulls just add that nice finishing touch ;)
